Abnormal and dilated tortuous veins along lower limbs are usually called as Varicose Veins.
The causes are known to be prolonged standing, lifting heavy weights for a long duration and trauma. The congenital absence of the valves in the veins is also one of the causes of Varicose Veins.
The Symptoms are dilated and tortuous veins along the lower limbs, pigmentation on the skin and eczema. The patient also experiences sudden onset of pain and swelling in the calf region. The pain becomes severe by the end of the day and on prolonged standing.
