Varicose Veins: Complications, Management and Treatment

Some of the complications that may develop are known to be Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT), Lipodermatosclerosis and Venous ulcer.

It is recommended to have a Duplex/Doppler ultrasound test to be done to rule out DVT.

The treatment of a patient is prescribed based on the severity of the condition and general fitness for surgery.
